BRING ON THE BUGS – Grades 1/2
This music is crawling with bugs! Join us for an energetic session full of music games and activities for the early years music classroom as we explore the theme of bugs. These ideas will focus on literacy, singing, speech ostinati, soundscapes, composition, and improvisation… and they are all buzzing with fun!
LEARNING THROUGH LIGHT – Grades 3/4
Light presents itself in many forms, as does this exciting session that you won’t want to miss! Get ready to light up the dark in this session geared towards grades 3/4, but easily adaptable for other grade levels. This thematic unit includes Orff arrangements, composition opportunities, fun games, and even bright movement props!
JOURNEY THROUGH OUTER SPACE – Grades 5/6
Shooting stars, colourful planets, and far away galaxies... Come explore outer space the Orff way using barred instruments, recorder, and our singing voices in this session geared towards the upper elementary music classroom. Engage your students with this modal piece while incorporating movement, glowing props, and mysterious soundscapes.
